Coolangatta Estate

New South Wales | Shoalhaven Coast

James' Review

Coolangatta Estate is part of a 150ha resort with accommodation, restaurants, golf course, etc. Some of the oldest buildings were convict-built in 1822. The standard of viticulture is exceptionally high (immaculate Scott Henry trellising), and the contract winemaking is wholly professional. Coolangatta has a habit of bobbing up with medals at Sydney and Canberra wine shows, including gold medals for its mature semillons. In its own backyard, Coolangatta won the trophy for Best Wine of Show at the South Coast Wine Show for 17 out of the show's 18 years.

A unique wine tourism destination, Coolangatta Estate offers a range of activities including 4 star country heritage accommodation in the original convict built village, restaurant focused on regional produce (open lunch daily, dinner most evenings), 9 hole public golf course and self guided tours of the historic convict built village. There are conference facilities available and it is an ideal place for weddings with various locations for both ceremony and reception on the property. All of this only 2 hours from Sydney and Canberra surrounded by rural and coastal views.
The Bishop family are committed to producing Estate grown wines with all 9 varieties grown on the property. It is the Region's most awarded winery with 109 Trophies and over 1300 wine awards at Regional, National and International wine shows. We invite you to visit Coolangatta Estate.
