Horlin-Smith Wines/Ardent Estates

Ardent Estates, owned by Horlin-Smith Wines, is the venture of Donald and Barbara Horlin-Smith, well known in the SA wine trade for many decades. Sons Robert and Anthony are also involved in the business; Anthony as winemaker, Robert as sales manager. The wines come from two regions: Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale; and Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc from the Adelaide Hills. Within that split there are three Reserve wines made in limited quantities: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Barrel Fermented Chardonnay. Exports to Canada. -JAMES HALLIDAY
