Harrington Glen Estate

Queensland | Granite Belt

James' Review

The Ireland family planted cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot and verdelho vines in 1997, with follow-on plantings of muscat, viognier and pinot gris. Red grapes not required for cellar door production are sold to local wine producers, and some white grapes are purchased from other Granite Belt producers.

About

Harrington Glen vineyard was first established 17 years ago, with first plantings of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon the following year. Merlot followed, then Verdelho, White Muscat and Viognier. 9 years ago we opened our cellar door and began making wines on site having previously used contractors. We do small amounts of contract work and sell grapes to other local wineries. We are continually pleased with the awards we have attained, and hope to continue to do so.
