The definitive guide to Australian Wines
Martin Cooper and Dianne Maddison acquired what was then known as Emerald Hill Winery in 2004. In '05 they reshaped the vineyards, which now have plantings of chardonnay, tempranillo, shiraz, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, saperavi, verdelho and viognier, setting a course down the alternative variety road. There is a quite spectacular winery and cellar door facility, and self-contained cabins in the vineyard.
