Our Review
The Oceanview property was purchased in 1993 by Rosemary and Calvin Irons; in '96 Kate and Thomas Honnef joined as partners, with Thomas Honnef responsible both for the vineyard establishment (which commenced in '98) and for the onsite winery, which was erected prior to the 2003 vintage. All of the wines are estate-grown and made onsite, initially with guidance from consultant winemaker Brian Wilson. A substantial restaurant (and cellar door), together with two vineyard cottages, have opened, with weddings specially catered for. -JAMES HALLIDAY
