Aldgate Ridge

South Australia | Adelaide Hills

Our Review

Jill and Chris Whisson acquired their vineyard property in 1988, when the land was being used as a market garden. The first vines were planted in 1992 and ?97; further plantings of pinot noir and a block of sauvignon blanc have been added, taking the total plantings to 1ha of each variety. The vineyard is typical of the Adelaide Hills region, on a rolling to steep southeast-facing hillside at an altitude of 440m.
