Guthrie Wines

Growing up on his family’s farm in the Adelaide Hills, Hugh Guthrie developed an early interest in the wines and vineyards of the region, completing a master of oenology at the University of Adelaide before working in wineries around Australia and abroad. Most recently he was a winemaker at The Lane Vineyard, winner of many awards for its wines. His partner Sarah looks after the business side of Guthrie, in addition to her day job as an anaesthetist. In '14 Hugh held his breath, jumped, quit his day job, and became full-time winemaker at Guthrie Wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
