Our Review
Téssera Wines started life in 2015 sourcing grapes from its local area around Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The word 'tessera' means 'four' in Greek and refers to the 4 close friends who founded the company. As sales have increased, sourcing of grapes has broadened to include McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. Red wines are made by Phil Christiansen in McLaren Vale, whites by Peter Leske. The company focuses on small-batch, quality wines that remain true to the varietal integrity of the grapes sourced. -JENI PORT
