Yacca Paddock Vineyards

Filmmakers Kerry Heysen-Hicks and husband Scott Hicks have left little to chance in establishing Yacca Paddock Vineyards. The vineyards were established under the direction of leading viticulturist Geoff Hardy, and the wines are made by equally illustrious winemaker Ben Riggs. The vineyard is at an altitude of 350m, and all of the vines are netted. In descending order of size the rainbow selection of varieties is chardonnay, pinot noir, tempranillo, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, riesling, sauvignon blanc, shiraz, arneis, dolcetto, tannat and durif. Other than those used in the estate's (now museum release) Shiraz/Tannat and Dolcetto bottlings, all grapes are sold to other wineries. Exports to Japan. -JAMES HALLIDAY
