Swan Wine Group

South Australia | Barossa Valley

James' Review

Swan Wine Group was formed through the merger of Inspire Vintage and Australia Swan Vintage. The jewel in the business is a 10ha vineyard in Angaston - 1.7ha of shiraz planted in 1908 and 0.86ha planted in the '60s; 5.43ha of younger shiraz; 1.76ha of cabernet sauvignon; and 1.26ha of grenache. The 2ha cellar door and winery vineyard in Tanunda provide the home base. The major part of the production comes from grapes purchased from growers across SA, and the wines are released under the Auswan Creek and Red Deer Station labels. The focus is on exports to Singapore, Thailand and China.
