Landhaus Estate

South Australia | Barossa Valley

James' Review

John, Barbara and son Kane Jaunutis purchased Landhaus Estate in 2002, followed by ?The Landhaus' cottage and 1ha vineyard at Bethany. Bethany is the oldest German-established town in the Barossa (1842) and the cottage was one of the first to be built. Kane has worked vintages for Mitolo and Kellermeister, as well as managing East End Cellars, one of Australia's leading fine wine retailers, while John brings decades of owner/management experience and Barbara 20 years in sales and marketing. Rehabilitation of the estate plantings and establishing a grower network have paid handsome dividends. Exports to Canada, Singapore and China.

About

The 2014 vintage marks our 10th Anniversay at Landhaus Wines. Landhaus has come a long way and have introduced many new wines into the range since the 170 cases of shiraz we made in 2004. Under the Landhaus Banner there is now 17 wines under three different tiers. We have the ‘L’ series, Classics Range and the ‘Rare’ (the best barrel of Shiraz from the vintage). In 2013, we introduced a white wine series which includes Gruner Veltliner, Arneis and Pinot Gris. We have stood to firm with our principles and each vintage has seen the Landhaus Wines become more complete.
