Leasingham has experienced death by a thousand cuts. First, its then owner, CWA, sold its Rogers Vineyard to Tim Adams in 2009. CWA then unsuccessfully endeavoured to separately sell the winemaking equipment and cellar door, while retaining the winery. In January '11 Tim Adams purchased the winery, cellar door and winemaking equipment, making the once-proud Leasingham a virtual winery (or brand). The quality of the wines has not suffered. Exports to the UK and Canada.
Established in 1893, Leasingham was a founding winery of the Clare Valley, crafting wine for nearly 120 years. Today, we select only our most outstanding wines for release under the premium Classic Clare label. Consistent show success rewards the depth and integrity of these distinctly regional wines.
