Angas Plains Estate

South Australia | Langhorne Creek

James' Review

In 1994 Phillip and Judy Cross began the Angas Plains Estate plantings, first with cabernet sauvignon, second shiraz and third a small block of chardonnay predominantly used as a sparkling base. The location on ancient Angas River floodplains, together with cooling evening breezes from the local Lake Alexandrina, proved ideally suited to the red varieties. Skilled contract winemaking has resulted in some excellent wines from the estate-grown shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. Exports to Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
