Aramis Vineyards was founded in 1998 by Lee Flourentzou. Located barely 2km from the Gulf of St Vincent, it is one of the coolest sites in McLaren Vale, planted to shiraz (18ha) and cabernet sauvignon (8ha), the two varieties best suited to the site. This philosophy leads Aramis to source grapes from other regions that best represent each variety, including sauvignon blanc and chardonnay from Adelaide Hills and riesling from Eden Valley. The city-based cellar door also features wines from other boutique producers. Exports to the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand.
Named after the visionary French musketeer, Aramis Vineyards is a family owned wine estate based in South Australia’s McLaren Vale. We have dedicated ourselves to crafting a small range of classic wines that live and breathe their unique heritage, including some of Australia’s most iconic and most hedonistic reds – The Governor and the O’Aristocratis Sparkling Syrah.
Founded in 1998, our 70 acres of vineyard are planted exclusively to low-yielding Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, the two varietals we believe best flourish in our corner of the Vale, with its ancient mineral-rich soils and beautiful temperate climate. We also work with specialist growers in the cooler climate of the Adelaide Hills to produce crisp, aromatic whites that complement our fine estate-grown reds.
