The combination of Old and New World winemaking and philosophies are contributed by Fanchon Ferrandi and Michael Rubenhold. Franchon's childhood was split between southern France and the majestic island of Corsica, which she parlayed into a degree in biochemistry, a graduate diploma in oenology and an MBA in wines and spirits before spending 10 years as chief winemaker at Tatachilla. Michael's training took place at Hardys' Tintara Cellars before he and Fanchon traversed the vineyards of Chile, California, Spain and France. They now have a vineyard with 2.3ha of shiraz and 0.3ha of durif.
