Ivybrook Farm

Ivybrook Farm is a family-owned vineyard and winery in McLaren Vale. The farming property is rich in history with old stone buildings, and has belonged to the Hunt family for 5 generations. David Hunt and his wife Cheryl, the current custodians, first planted vineyards in '97 to shiraz and sold their grapes to prominent wineries in the area. In '10 they planted tempranillo followed by touriga nacional. In '14, son, Nick, after completing his oenology studies and working in wineries locally, interstate and in the US, took over winemaking for the family business. Ivybrook Farm recently opened a cellar door in its renovated 1898 stone barn. -JAMES HALLIDAY
