Maxwell Wines has carved out a reputation as a premium producer in McLaren Vale. The brand has produced some excellent red wines in recent years. The majority of the vines on the estate were planted in 1972, and include 19 rows of the highly regarded Reynella clone cabernet sauvignon. The Ellen Street shiraz block in front of the winery was planted in '53. Owned and operated by Mark Maxwell. Exports to all major markets.

Maxwell of McLaren Vale was established in 1979 in the heart of the picturesque McLaren Vale. Specialising in Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Verdelho they are also the largest producer of Mead in the Southern Hemisphere.
