Brothers Kym and John Davey planted and nurture their family-owned and sustainably managed vineyard on land purchased by their grandfather in the 1950s. Shingleback has been a success story since its establishment. Its 120ha of estate vineyards are one of the keys to that success, which includes winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy 2006 for the '05 D Block Cabernet Sauvignon. The well made wines are rich and full-flavoured, but not overripe (and, hence, not excessively alcoholic). Exports to the UK, the US, Canada, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and NZ.

From a small start in 1998, with a range of just one wine (Shingleback Shiraz) the Shingleback portfolio has grown into a collection of premium wines that include Shingleback, Red Knot and The Gate. Each made in its distinct style, these wines showcase the best the region has to offer. They also represent a family dedicated to producing outstanding wines from the land they love.
