Our Review
This is the venture of Glyn Jamieson, who happens to be the prestigious Dorothy Mortlock Professor of Surgery of the University of Adelaide. His interest in wine dates back decades, and in 1994 he commenced the part-time (distance) winemaking degree at CSU: he says that while he never failed an exam, it did take him 11 years to complete the course. A year in France led him to Burgundy rather than Bordeaux, hence the planting of chardonnay, pinot blanc and savagnin on the slopes of Mt Jagged on the Magpies Song Vineyard and pinot noir (clones 114 and MV6) on the Hawthorns Vineyard. He built a small winery for the first vintage in 2011. -JAMES HALLIDAY
