Our Review
Peter Dawson and Tim James had long and highly successful careers as senior winemakers for Hardys and Accolade Wines. Tim jumped ship first, becoming managing director of Wirra Wirra for 7 years until ’07. Now both have multiple consulting roles. They have long had a desire to grow and make wine in Tasmania together, which came to fruition in ’10. Dawson James makes single-site chardonnay and pinot noir from 30yo vines on the Meadowbank Vineyard in the Derwent Valley. -JAMES HALLIDAY
