Vincent Webb is a modern-day Renaissance man. He is a graduate of oenology and viticulture at CSU, but his full-time occupation is scheduler with Ausnet Services. He manages the vineyard and winery with ‘plenty of help' from wife Sharon, and their young sons. Family and friends hand-select the fruit at harvest, and small quantities of wine are made using precisely what you would expect: a basket press, open vat fermenters, wild yeast fermentation, and maturation in new and used French oak. One of 10 wineries to open in the Beechworth region since 2006, which has many attractions for both winemakers and wine consumers.
