Lightfoot & Sons

Victoria | Gippsland

Our Review

Brian and Helen Lightfoot have established pinot noir, shiraz, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and merlot; the lion's share to pinot noir and shiraz. The soil is very similar to that of Coonawarra with terra rossa over limestone. Most of the grapes are sold (as originally planned) to other Victorian winemakers. With the arrival of Alastair Butt (formerly of Brokenwood and Seville Estate) and supported by son Tom, production has increased and may well rise further. Second son Rob has also come onboard, bringing 10 years' experience in sales and marketing.

Lightfoot & Sons is a boutique winery in the Gippsland Lakes District, Victoria.

The family owned and operated vineyard and winery is managed by the second generation; brothers Rob and Tom Lightfoot. All wines are 100% estate grown, made and bottled.

Located between the Great Dividing Range and Bass Strait, the cool maritime climate of the Gippsland lakes district is ideal for pinot noir, chardonnay and shiraz.

Pinot noir, chardonnay, shiraz.
