Our Review
Tisdall Wines is not so much a new winery, as a reborn one. The vineyard, with most of the mainstream varieties, has been in continuous production since 1971. It is planted to chardonnay, merlot, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, riesling, semillon and shiraz. Under the ownership of the Ballande Group, which acquired the business in '99, the focus has been international markets, with exports to France, China, Malaysia, Noumea and Taiwan. -JAMES HALLIDAY
