Our Review

Peter Bicknell planted shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot in 1994; the first vintage was in 2002 under the original name of Polleters. Jillian Henderson joined the company in '14 and together they planted new varieties, built a winery and increased production. Peter and Jillian make rich, powerful estate-grown wines using sustainable farming and low impact winemaking practises. ‘Bigibila' means echidna in the Gamilaraay language, spoken by the Gamilaroi people. Exports to Canada and China.

About

Bigibila is a boutique winery and vineyard owned by Peter Bicknell and Jillian Henderson. We are nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees Ranges, 2 km south west of Moonambel, Victoria, Australia. We produce a range of premium red wines including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. 100% of the grapes in our wines are grown at our vineyards, all of which are hand picked, open vat fermented and basket pressed.
