Bianchet was established many years ago, but Lou Bianchet passed away without leaving sufficient records, meaning that the planning and liquor licensing approval were required to re-establish the property detail. Three years’ work resulted in the creation of a new business structure with all the necessary approvals in place. Lindsay Corby brings an impressive CV, including cellar door sales, laboratory work and vineyard management, leading to teaching ‘The art and science of the vine and wine’ at La Trobe University and managing the small campus vineyard. An arrangement with the new owners of Bianchet has been finalised, with Lindsay leasing the winery and vineyard, and opening the Cosmo Wines cellar door. Bianchet Bistro is a separate business that sells some of the Cosmo wines as part of their wine list. Exports to China.
