Elmswood Estate

Victoria | Yarra Valley

Our Review

Planted to cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, merlot, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, shiraz and riesling on the red volcanic soils of the far southern side of the Yarra Valley .The cellar door operates from ‘The Pavilion’, a fully enclosed glass room situated on a ridge above the vineyard, with 180 degree views of the Upper Yarra Valley. It seats up to 110 guests, and is a popular wedding venue. Exports to China.

Elmswood Estate was first planted in 1981 by another prominent, 5 Star Yarra Valley winery for their Reserve range. The unirrigated vineyard is located in Seville in the upper Yarra Valley, one of the most sought-after areas in the Yarra for elegant, intensely flavoured wine grapes. The Howe family had been owners of the adjoining vineyard since 1997. In 2005, the original Elmswood Estate became available and was purchased, thus allowing the two properties to amalgamate into the current Elmswood Estate.
