Greenstone Vineyards

Victoria | Yarra Valley

Our Review

In Jan '15, the former Sticks Winery (originally Yarra Ridge, established in 1982) was purchased by a group of investors, along with the Greenstone brand and vineyard in Heathcote. The Greenstone vineyard, just north of the Heathcote township at Colbinabbin at the base of the Camel Range, derives its names from the soils on which the 20ha of vines are planted (the lion’s share to 17ha of shiraz). The Yarra Valley vineyard is planted mainly to chardonnay (11.7ha) and also includes 4.1ha of pinot noir and smaller plantings of sauvignon blanc, viognier, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot. -JAMES HALLIDAY
