Punt Road

Victoria | Yarra Valley

James' Review

Punt Road is owned by the Napoleone family, third-generation fruit growers in the Yarra Valley. Their vineyard in Coldstream is one of the most historic sites in Victoria, first planted to vines by Swiss immigrant Hubert De Castella in 1860. The Napoleone Vineyard was established on the property in 1987. Chief winemaker Tim Shand joined the winery in 2014 and has established a reputation for consistent quality of all the Punt Road wines. The two main ranges are Punt Road and Airlie Bank, plus a small production of single vineyard ‘Block' wines, only available at cellar door, made only in the best vintages. Exports to the US, UK, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, China and Sri Lanka.

About

Wine is the perfect product of people and nature…that’s Punt Road in a bottle but also found at our cellar door. A warm welcome, nature to relax with and wine to savour.
Everything we do comes from our home in Coldstream…ideas are born here, the grapes are grown here, and our wines are crafted and shared here. As a family owned vineyard and winery, we aim to create wines that reflect the heritage of our site, and the independent, creative energy of the Yarra Valley. Winemaker Tim Shand guides the path of fruit from more than 150 acres of estate-grown vineyards.
