The definitive guide to Australian Wines
Brokenwood acquired Seville Estate in 1997 from the founding ownership of Dr Peter and Margaret McMahon. In 2005 ownership passed to Graeme and Margaret Van Der Meulen, who retained the services of Dylan McMahon as winemaker. Graeme and Margaret's divorce led to yet another sale, this time to a wealthy Chinese investor (with a chain of wine shops in China) who bought the business outright in '16. Despite these changes in ownership, the quality of the wines has never been higher. Dylan McMahon's knowledge and skills provides continuity, which is helped by Graeme Van Der Meulen remaining as General Manager. Exports to the US, Canada and China.
