Shaws Road

Victoria | Yarra Valley

Our Review

This enterprise has grown in stages since the first vines (chardonnay) were planted at the Eltham Vineyard in 1982, followed by cabernet sauvignon in '83. In '86 a second vineyard at Shaws Road, Arthurs Creek, was established, with larger plantings of chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. This vineyard was expanded in '97 with additional plantings of pinot noir and chardonnay. In 2007 a new winery on the Shaws Road vineyard was completed. The following year Strathewen Hills winery and vineyard were purchased from the Christophersen family. -JAMES HALLIDAY
