Six Acres

Victoria | Yarra Valley | Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation

Our Review

Nestled in the southern hills of the Yarra Valley, Six Acres boutique winery and vineyard is owned and worked by the Zuccaro family. Planted in '99 by Ralph and Lesley Zuccaro, the vineyard (pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon and merlot) is dry grown on deep red volcanic soil, with yields kept low to encourage balance and concentration within the grapes. Currently biologically farmed, the family’s goal is to move towards organic/sustainable grapegrowing. The small size of the property means that the whole family is involved in the minimal intervention winemaking process. -JAMES HALLIDAY
