Parish Lane Wines

Western Australia | Great Southern

Our Review

Richard and Julie Parish moved from Perth to Albany in 1995 seeking a lifestyle change and planning to grow lavender. This they did for a couple of years until friends, who had a vineyard, suggested the small property would be ideal for growing grapes. They planted the first vines in '97, entering a steep learning curve. The vineyard has 1ha of merlot and 0.5ha each of chardonnay and pinot noir (the last as the result of a grafting program); cabernet sauvignon is purchased from a local grower. -JAMES HALLIDAY
