Clairault | Streicker Wines

Western Australia | Margaret River

James' Review

This multifaceted business is owned by New York resident John Streicker. It began in 2002 when he purchased the Yallingup Protea Farm and Vineyards. This was followed by the purchase of the Ironstone Vineyard in '03, and finally the Bridgeland Vineyard, which has one of the largest dams in the region: 1km long and covering 18ha. The Ironstone Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in Wilyabrup. In April 2012 Streicker acquired Clairault, bringing a further 40ha of estate vines, including 12ha now over 40 years old. The two brands are effectively run as one venture. A large part of the grape production is sold to winemakers in the region. Exports to the US, Canada, Norway, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Clairault | Streicker Wines are a family of premium wines, crafted from our privately-owned vineyards in the Margaret River Wine Appellation of Western Australia. Since 1976 we have grown from a modest four-hectare estate to just under 200 hectares of premium Margaret River vineyards.

Our continuous commitment to quality vineyard management and sound ecological practices, combined with our unparalleled geographic advantages have led to a catalogue of exceptional wines. With vineyards in three Margaret River sub-regions -Yallingup, Wilyabrup, and Karridale, Clairault and Streicker Wines have the capacity to make the most of Margaret River's diverse growing conditions.
