Firetail

Named for the Red-eared Firetail, a bird found only in the southwest corner of WA. Jessica Worrall and Rob Glass are fugitives from the oil and gas industry. In 2002 they purchased an historic vineyard in Margaret River that had been planted between 1979 and ’81 to sauvignon blanc, semillon and cabernet sauvignon; they have also planted chardonnay and malbec. Wine quality is generally excellent.
