Our Review
Established by Merilyn and Graham Hutton in 1975, Gralyn Estate has established a good reputation for its wines. The primary focus is on the full-bodied red wines, which are made in a distinctively different style from most from Margaret River, with an opulence reminiscent of some of the bigger wines of McLaren Vale. The age of the cabernet and shiraz vines (45+ years) and the site are significant factors. Lesser amounts of chardonnay and fortified wines are also made. Merilyn and Graham passed the baton to daughter Annette and her partner Scott in 2020.

The Estate is recognised as one of Australia’s most prestigious boutique wineries, having been awarded numerous gold medals and trophies at national and international wine shows. Today’s modern tasting room is a popular tourist destination situated on Caves Road Wilyabrup, right in the heart of the Margaret River wine region.
