The definitive guide to Australian Wines
KarriBindi is owned by Kevin,Yvonne and KrisWealand. The name is derived from Karridale and the surrounding karri forests, and from Bindi, the home town of one of the members of the Wealand family. In Nyoongar,?karri' means strong, special, spiritual, tall tree and ?bindi' means butterfly. The Wealands have established sauvignon blanc(15ha),chardonnay(6.25ha), cabernet sauvignon (4ha), plus smaller plantings of semillon, shiraz and merlot. KarriBindi supplies a number of high-profile Margaret River wineries, reserving approximately 20% of its grapes for its own label. Exports to Singapore and China.
