Ken Allan and Mick Scott acquired the Rosily Vineyard site in 1994, and the vineyard was planted over three years to sauvignon blanc, semillon, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, shiraz, grenache and cabernet franc. The first crops were sold to other makers in the region, but by '99 Rosily had built a 120t capacity winery. It has gone from strength to strength, all of its estate-grown grapes being vinified under the Rosily Vineyard label, the wines substantially over-delivering for their prices.
All of our fruit is sourced from our own 12 hectare certified organic vineyard. Sustainably grown, hand pruned, and cared for with tailored soil and canopy management; we are proud of our traditional approach to grape growing and winemaking. The same viticultural and winemaking team has been at Rosily since it was established in 1994. This means that we know each of our 20,000 vines almost by name, and can instinctively match our viticultural and winemaking techniques to the nuances of each vintage - bringing about top quality results each and every year.
