Nick James-Martin grew up in a tiny Riverland town, spending his early working life in some of Adelaide’s better restaurants, helping his family establish a vineyard in McLaren Vale. Two years working for WINE Magazine in London offered him the opportunity of travelling through France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, immersing himself in wine in those countries. He then studied wine marketing and oenology at the University of Adelaide, sitting for a master's degree. He worked at Rosemount, Vasse Felix and Stella Bella, plus overseas vintages in Hawke’s Bay, NZ and Languedoc, France. Sarah James-Martin is a hospitality professional and prior to moving to Margaret River she ran the acclaimed Salopian Inn in McLaren Vale and worked for other wineries in the region. She’s currently mastering the art of cheesemaking at Yallingup Cheese Company.
