Truffle & Wine Co

Owned by a group of investors from various parts of Australia who have successfully achieved their vision of producing fine wines and black truffles. The winemaking side is under the care of Mark Aitken, who, having graduated as dux of his class in applied science at Curtin University in 2000, joined Chestnut Grove as winemaker in '02. The truffle side of the business is run under the direction of Harry Eslick, with 13000 truffle-inoculated hazelnut and oak trees on the property. Truffle Hill is now the premium label for a range of wines that is sold domestically; the Truffle & Wine Co label is the ultra-premium label, the best from the Yarra Valley, with 50% of this range exported to international restaurant clients through the exclusive distributors of the truffles.
