The Hunter Valley takes the lion’s share of top-rated semillon wines this year; not surprising considering it is where the French-heritage white varietal first found its Australian home. The region now boasts an esteemed reputation for producing much of the country’s finest examples, as seen below, with an impressive 13 examples from the Hunter Valley.
