Rolf Binder

South Australia | Barossa Valley

James' Review

A winery steeped in family tradition and Barossa history, Rolf Binder and sister Christa Deans are following their father's philosophy, using primarily estate-grown fruit from their own vineyards located in various districts of the Barossa. A recent vineyard acquisition in the Vine Vale area has provided the family with centenarian shiraz vines planted in the 1890s, in fact parent vines to the Hanisch Shiraz. In 2019 Rolf and Christa celebrated 25 consecutive vintages, surely a unique record achievement for a brother/sister winemaking team. The Vinify BV The Vineyard Architect wines are a joint venture between Rolf Binder and exporter Rob Turnbull, the wine named in honour of Barossa Valley viticulturist Vic Kraft. The wines are available through Rolf Binder's cellar door, wine clubs and export. Exports to all major markets.
