Thorn-Clarke Wines

South Australia | Barossa Valley | Peramangk, Ngadjuri, Kaurna

Our Review

Established by David and Cheryl Clarke (née Thorn), and son Sam, Thorn-Clarke is one of the largest family-owned estate-based businesses in the Barossa. Their winery is close to the border between the Barossa and Eden valleys and 3 of their 4 vineyards are in the Eden Valley: the Mt Crawford vineyard is at the southern end of the Eden Valley, while the Milton Park and Sandpiper vineyards are further north in the Eden Valley. The 4th vineyard is at St Kitts, at the northern end of the Barossa Ranges. In all 4 vineyards careful soil mapping has resulted in matching of variety and site, with all the major varieties represented. -JAMES HALLIDAY
