Our Review

Whistler was established in 1999 by brothers Martin and Chris Pfeiffer but is now in the hands of the next generation, brothers Josh and Sam Pfeiffer. Josh took over the winemaking and viticulture in 2013 and has incorporated the sustainable approach of organic and biodynamic techniques. Sam has stepped into the general manager role, largely focused on sales and marketing. Whistler maintains the traditional Estate range of wines as well as the fun, easy drinking ‘next gen’ range, which has more adventurous labelling and names. Exports to Norway, Hong Kong, Canada, the US, Denmark, Mauritius and South Korea

About

At Whistler, our aim is to make our property as sustainable as possible, giving more back to the vineyard by improving soil health and limiting inputs in the winery to make low intervention wines. While we continue to produce our traditional, Barossan styled Estate and Reserve Ranges, full of delicious single vineyard fruit, we’ve also evolved with the development of the Next Gen Range where a lighter, drink-now style provides a point of difference. Here, our winemaking team has the freedom to express the best of each vintage, so our blends can change year-on-year. This creative space has also led to the release of a few natural wines, a growing scene in the wine world. Together with my wife Kelsey, we welcome you to embark on the journey of family tradition that has been in our blood for 4 generations.

Cellar Door

Information

Our award winning Cellar Door is set in virgin Australian scrub, along the iconic Seppeltsfield Road, yet tucked away from the day to day world and is the perfect spot to relax for a few hours. Try our range of minimal intervention wines made from grapes grown here on the property, using Organic & Biodynamic practices. We also offer a ‘build your own platter’ option. Our fridge and pantry are full of local produce, best enjoyed outside, picnic-style on our Cellar Door grounds. Be sure to say hi to our resident Kangaroos and send the kids to the playground or off on a treasure hunt!
