Sevenhill Cellars

South Australia | Clare Valley

James' Review

One of the historical treasures of Australia; the oft-photographed stone wine cellars are the oldest in the Clare Valley and winemaking has been an enterprise within this Jesuit province of Australia since 1851. All the wines reflect the estate-grown grapes from old vines. Notwithstanding the difficult economic times, Sevenhill Cellars has increased its vineyard holdings from 74ha to 96ha and, naturally, production has risen. Exports to Switzerland, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, NZ, Hong Kong and China.

About

Sevenhill Cellars is the oldest winery in South Australia's Clare Valley, established by the Jesuits in 1851 to produce sacramental wine. While this tradition continues today, Sevenhill is now also recognised for premium table wines which express the distinctive character of Sevenhill's regional qualities.
