DiGiorgio Family Wines

James' Review

Stefano DiGiorgio emigrated from Abruzzo, Italy, in 1952. Over the years, he and his family gradually expanded their holdings at Lucindale to 126ha. In '89 he began planting cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, merlot, shiraz and pinot noir. In 2002 the family purchased the historic Rouge Homme winery and its surrounding 13.5ha of vines from Southcorp. The plantings have since been increased to almost 230ha, the lion's share to cabernet sauvignon. The enterprise offers full winemaking services to vignerons in the Limestone Coast Zone. Exports to all major markets.

A family owned and operated winery and vineyard producing premium wines from estate grown vines located right in the heart of Coonawarra. The winery previously known as Rouge Homme became home to DiGiorgio Family Wines in March, 2002.
