Our Review
The Reschke family has been a landowner in Coonawarra for 100 years, with a large holding that is part terra rossa, part woodland. Cabernet sauvignon (with 120ha) takes the lion's share of the plantings, with merlot, shiraz and petit verdot making up the balance. Exports to the UK, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
About
Reschke Wines guard the true essence of Coonawarra. A responsibility we take seriously and with pride. Blending a heritage in the finest Cabernet growing landscape in Australia with a strictly managed vineyard, we allow Coonawarra to express its distinctive allure.
Reschke takes great pride in the attention to detail that sets them apart and brings pleasure to lovers of wine.
The Reschke vineyards in the North East of the Coonwarra district are planted to friable Terra Rossa clay loams on a layer of ancient limestone. Plantings consist of some 400 acres mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, with further plantings of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Shiraz, these vines are managed for intensity of flavour and structure in Reschke's range of Coonawarra classics.
