Gatt Wines

South Australia | Eden Valley

Our Review

When you read the hyperbole that sometimes accompanies the acquisition of an existing wine business, about transforming it into a world-class operation, it is easy to sigh and move on. When Ray Gatt acquired Eden Springs, he proceeded to translate words into deeds. As well as the 19.15ha Eden Springs Vineyard, he also acquired the historic Siegersdorf Vineyard (now 21.79ha) on the Barossa floor and the neighbouring Graue Vineyard (15.3ha). The change of name from Eden Springs to Gatt Wines in '11 was sensible. Exports to Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Sweden, the US, the UK and Canada. -JAMES HALLIDAY
