Hill-Smith Estate

South Australia | Eden Valley

James' Review

The Eden Valley vineyard sits at an altitude of 510m, providing a cool climate that extends the growing season; rocky, acidic soil, coupled with winter rainfall and dry summers, results in modest crops. The Parish Vineyard in the Coal River Valley was purchased from Frogmore Creek in 2012; other white wines otherwise lacking a home have been put under the Hill- Smith Estate umbrella.

Parish Vineyard sits below the imposing Mount Lord, 30 kilometers north east of Hobart. Our riesling was hand-picked from part of a small three-hectare block of mature vines and crafted by riesling expert Louisa Rose.
