Between 1965 and ’00, Leo Buring was Australia’s foremost riesling producer, with a rich legacy left by former winemaker John Vickery. The brand began with many varieties and wine styles before honing in on riesling – it’s been the only varietal made for the past 25 years or so. Top of the range are the Tasmanian Leopold rieslings, supported by Clare and Eden valley rieslings at significantly lower prices. -JAMES HALLIDAY
