Tidswell Wines

South Australia | Limestone Coast Zone

James' Review

The Tidswell family (now in the shape of Andrea and Ben Tidswell) has two large vineyards in the Limestone Coast zone near Bool Lagoon; the lion's share is planted to cabernet sauvignon and shiraz, with smaller plantings of merlot, sauvignon blanc, petit verdot, vermentino and pinot gris. Tidswell is a fully certified member of WFA's environmental sustainability program. Wines are released under the Jennifer, Heathfield Ridge and The Publicans labels. Exports to Singapore, Japan and China.

About

Tidswell Wines is a family owned and managed winery in the heart of the Limestone Coast, South Australia. Our vineyard of some 300 acres was planted in 1994 and our first vintage was The 'Jennifer' Cabernet Sauvignon in 1998.
The property, Heathfield, nests on a ridge of ancient Mt Gambier limestone covered with the famous terra rossa soils for which the region is well known, making it an ideal place for grape growing.
Our philosophy is to make estate grown, well-balanced varietals of a consistent quality that enhance food enjoyment and express the unique cool climate characters of the vineyard.
